Arild Haaland, som få dagar fyreåt hadde fylt 75 år, var hovudtalar. Han tala um Henrik Ibsen, og då serleg um Hærmændene på Helgeland. Frå laget gav formannen Haaland ei åremålsgåva, Ludv. Jerdal hylla jubilanten og me song hyllingskvedet som Jakob Skarstein hadde skrive til åremålsdagen. Under bordseta var det fleire talar, og til slutt takka Ludv. Jerdal for maten i skjemt- og ålvorsame ordelag.</ins></div></td></tr>

Laurdag den 5. juni var det fleire fyrelesingar på Bryggens Museum, og sundag 6. juni var det fyrst gudstenesta i Mariakyrkja, dinest tale ved Snorremonumentet av Ole Didrik Lærum, og til sist ei storsamkoma i Håkonshalli. Islendingen Gisli A. Gislarson heldt hovudtalen, og det var helsingar frå fylkesmannen, Bergen kommune ved varaordføraren, fylkeskultur- sjefen, soknepresten i Mariakyrkja som helsa frå biskopen, og frå Vestmannalaget ved formannen.</ins></div></td></tr>

Vestmanna- laget kann ikkje få fulltakka Ludv. Jerdal nok for den store innsatsen hans her. Utan hans pågangsmod vilde vel knapt saki ha vorten teki uppatt.</ins></div></td></tr>

Møteverksemdi hev gjenge i same leid som åri fyrr, med fyredrag og handskrive blad på kvart møte. Ein trufast lagsflokk hev møtt på møti, og like eins hev mange ikkje-medlemer gjesta oss. Det er me storleg glade for, og me vonar at fleire av dei vil finna vegen inn i lagsflokken.</ins></div></td></tr>
